This is a program that I wrote for Matt D’Avella.

He came to me with a goal of entering a powerlifting competition after 100 days of training.

Typically, when someone asks me for a quick result, my first reaction is to educate them on one of my favourite quotes which is “it takes 10 years to become an overnight success”.

What does this quote mean to me? It means to me that in order to achieve a high level of success in any craft, it takes time, and this is the first message that I teach anyone who I work with on their strength development.

But in my experience, people still want to know exactly how much results they can achieve and in how much time, and when Matt presented this challenge to me, I thought, fuck it, lets find out!

So although Matt came to me with a specific powerlifting goal, my approach was to strengthen his body not just for powerlifting, but also to set him up to work towards any training goal that he wanted to pursue after this 100 day challenge
